Family Car Advice
What's the best value family car to be looking at in the used market.

Room for two little shifts and all the crap a family needs to carry around for poxy British holidays.

Not fussy, as cheap as possible, reliable and cheap to run.

Thanks.

Reliant Regal

If it's good enough for Delboy and Rodney, it's good enough for anyone.

Finally consider buying the smallest car you can with roof rails and get yourself a 2nd hand top box for the holidays. Has always worked for me.

And then remember to remove the roof box or simply let the height barrier at the council tip do it for you.

Nice to see you + Son,

Hyundai are a good shout, my boys partner uses one for the family.

I would shout out the Peugeot 2008 as well, nice square flat boot space, no lip.

I have a Vauxhall Astra petrol estate auto on a 2006 plate which is great for the dog, kids, shopping, taking crap to the dump etc and cost me about £1600 three years ago.
Does everything I need and it gets a clean once a year

It's not for sale though

I hired a Hyundai i30 a few years ago, that ticks every box for you, 2011 plates are about 3k

Debs is correct, the Hyundais are excellent. Especially their small cars. The bigger ones have been used for taxis a lot. If you can get an SUV Hyundai, that may be your best bet

Isn't the 2nd hand car market quite inflated atm?
.Have a Hyundai which hasn't let me me down yet. However its more of a town car which I.bought for my work needs. .I reckon the next one up powerwise should be quite decent. Not sure what price you'd expect to.pay but deffo.go.for a 1.2 if you need it for trips and long journeys. They are economical
to.run as well and insure..

Doesn't need to be ULEZ.

No preference re: Fuel.

Looking under £5k. Can't stand all the PCP stuff, just need a runaround but want some good value and good size.

I can appreciate a beautiful motor but don't need one for tip runs and kids pressing biscuits into the ashtray.

Re: Family Car Advice
Probably best to look at Frog or korean diesels, or if the budget will stretch go for a jap petrol.

Don't buy anything that has been used as a taxi or owned by asians or africans.

Does it need to be ULEZ-compliant?
